Zynga Farming

Zynga Farming is the new game announced by Zynga at the Apple WWDC by Mark Pincus, Zynga's CEO on June 7, 2010. The game has specifically been designed for the iPhone but includes tight integration/synchronization with the Facebook version.The game was released on September 8, 2010.http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/farmville-zynga/id336144178

Zynga Farming is essentially the same "farm management strategy game" as Farmville ported to the iPhone. Zynga have said though that Zynga Farming does contain some exclusive items not in the Facebook version.

Farmville already has thirty five million daily players and the average number of gifts per day is about two hundred million. Farming is likely to increase the number of daily users by offering an additional platform. The new game is also likely to increase the amount of hours some users play the game, as they will be able to play on the iPhone on the move, as well as from Facebook when static.http://techcrunch.com/2010/06/07/zyngas-farmville-comes-to-the-iphone-in-june/

Exact details have not emerged yet as this game is brand new on the market. Zynga have said however that the game will be similar to that on Facebook. There are also some extra items unique to the new game, we will update this as soon as there is further information.

Examples of functionality, which will be featured in the game are:

1. Animal Husbandry - Look after the animals and they will look after you. Every animal yields its own crop of sorts.
2. Farm Equipment - Buy equipment such as harvesters, tractors and seeders to get the most out of the game
3. Fertilize - Careful fertilizing will maximize the yield from your crops
4. Flowers - An additional crop. Grow and sell flowers and gain cash and experience points for doing so
5. Harvesting - Buy a harvester to harvest the land. Also harvest your animals, e.g. eggs from chickens
6. Money - As with anything money talks in this game. There is a currency, the more successful you are at managing the farm, the more cash you will have
7. Planting - Buy your seed, plow the land and then plant it. Tend for your crop and you should yield a bountiful harvest
8. Plowing - Plow the land with your tractor and other equipment for the maximum in crop yields
9. Rewards/Ribbons - There will be various rewards, ribbons and incentives that will keep you interested in the game
10. Storage - You will need storage to keep all your crops and products
