Zooey Deschanel is an American actress and singer from Los Angeles, California. She is most noted for her roles in the hit television show Weeds, the independent film 500 Days of Summer, and Bridge to Terabithia. She is also part of an indie band with M Ward, and has debuted one album.
Background
Zooey was born in 1980 into a family familiar with show business. Her father, Caleb Deschanel is a cinemotographer who worked on such titles as Passion of the Christ. Her mother is Mary Jo Deschanel who starred in Twin Peaks. Zooey's first television show was Veronica's Closet in 1997, before her first film which was Mumford.
