    Zillow has received criticism from real estate agents and some home buyers. The concerns mostly stem from those who feel Zillow does not provide accurate data. The National Community Reinvestment Coalition stated that Zillow is "intentionally misleading consumers and real-estate professionals to rely upon the accuracy of its valuation services despite the full knowledge of the company officials that their valuation Automated Valuation Model (AVM) mechanism is highly inaccurate and misleading."   • Zestimate

    Zillow creates a "Zestimate"Official Site: What's a Zestimate value? for a homes value using publicly available information. This metric uses recent sale prices for the home and surrounding neighborhood. It does not factor in data such as recent renovations or neighborhood conditions. Users do have the ability to manually add this type information to any home record.
