Richard Zednik, a forward with the Florida Panthers hockey team, had his throat cut by a skate during a game on February 10, 2008. He is in good condition, after having surgery to repair his carotid artery and could leave the hospital as early as February 16, 2008. He is however expected to miss the rest of the NHL regular season.
