The Z-Dome Immersive Display is a semicircular, dome-shaped screen that displays ordinary TV images in simulated 3D. The Z-Dome is intended for use in entertainment and video game environments. The Z-Dome was featured at GDC 2008, but is not yet available for purchase.

How It Works
The Z-Dome is only a screen, and does not actively process any images. Images are projected onto the back of the Z-Dome by a projection TV. The Z-Dome is coated with a special material which then passively transmits projected images through to the user's side of the screen. The shape of the screen immerses the user in a pseudo-3D display.IGN: EuroTouch Z-Dome
