President Yunus Bek Yevkurov of Ingushetia, a Muslim region of Russia, was injured on June 22, 2009, in a suicide bomb attack. As President Yevkurov's convoy was driving towards work, suicide bomber detonated himself as the vehicle passed. The driver of Yevkurov's armored Mercedes was killed. The president, who suffered injuries to the head and chest was hospitalized and underwent surgery.http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31480545
