Conflict and Controversy
Throughout his time in office Museveni has engaged in armed conflict against the Lord's Resistance Army in northern Uganda, . The battle has been an exception to Museveni's otherwise peaceful administration. Museveni's Uganda has also been marred by political controversy, including Museveni's contentious ban Same Sex Marriage, and his refusal to send LRA leader Joseph Kony to The Hague to be tried for war crimes. -
