Launched in March 2007, the YouTube Awards are an annual contest organized to honor the best user-created videos posted to the video-sharing site YouTube.
The winners of the 2007 YouTube Awards were announced on March 20, 2008. YouTube viewers voted on six nominees in the categories of music, sports, comedy, instructional, short film, inspirational, commentary, creative, politics, series, eyewitness and "adorable."
Tay Zonday of "Chocolate Rain" fame beat out Obama Girl Amber Lee Ettinger for the 2007 YouTube Award for best Music video.
