  • Plot Summary

    Based on the first of four novels in the Nick Twisp series, the film chronicles the daily trials of 16-year-old Nick Twisp (Michael Cera), including his relationship with his dysfunctional parents (Steve Buscemi and Jean Smart) and his mother's new boyfriend, Lance Wescott (Ray Liotta). As he deals with his teenage hormones and obsession with sex, he tries to win over the heart of the girl he has fallen in love with Sheeni Saunders, played by Portia Doubleday.
