The youngest person to ever win a standard competitive Oscar was Tatum O'Neal at the age of 10 for her performance in Paper Moon. She took home the Best Supporting Actress award. She was also up against fellow child actor Linda Blair for Linda's performance in The Exorcist. However the youngest person to ever receive an Oscar was Shirley Temple at age 6 in 1934 as a special Honorary Oscar. Anna Paquin won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1993 at age 11 for her performance in The Piano, making her the 2nd youngest competitive Oscar winner ever.
