  • Young Jeezy is an American, Atlanta-based rap star, also known as Jay Jenkins, who, before taking up the mic himself for Def Jam Records, handled the business end of Corporate Thugz Entertainment. Corporate Thugz Entertainment promoted Cash Money releases.
  • Background

    Jeezy released his first album in 2001 under the name Lil J. His next release, 2003's Come Shop Wit' Me, reportedly sold 50,000 copies. In 2004 he signed to Sean Combs Bad Boy Records as a member of the group Boyz n da Hood. He also released his major label debut, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 on Def Jam Records. Two more albums followed, The Inspiration in 2006 and The Recession from 2008.
