Yorvit Torrealba is a catcher for the Colorado Rockies.

A native of Venezuela, Torrealba originally signed with the San Francisco Giants as an amateur free agent in 1994. After seven years as a minor league prospect in ght Giants minor league system, Torrealba made his major league debut on September 5, 2001. He played parts of five seasons with the Giants before being traded with Jesse Foppert to the Seattle Mariners for Randy Winn. Torrealba finished the 2005 season with the Mariners, but was then sent to the Rockies in exchange for Marcos Carvajal. He was the stating catcher for the Rockies 2007 World Series team.
