The YFZ Ranch is a Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS) compound located in Eldorado, Texas. On April 4, 2008, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services representatives, accompanied by local law enforcement officials, removed 52 girls from the polygamous sect's property. Allegations of sex abuse emerged when a 16-year-old girl living on the ranch called child protective services. Lawyers for members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints are asking a judge to seal the abuse case of a 17-year-old girl and return any evidence seized from the YFZ Ranch in a motion filed in March 2009.
