Similar creatures have been reported in Canada (where it is called "Sasquatch"), Russia and Mongolia ("Almas"), and the United States ("Bigfoot"), but convincing evidence of the existence of such animals has long escaped the most dedicated of searchers.
On February 28, 2009, naturalist Sir David Attenborough told British commentator Jonathan Ross that he finds supposed evidence of Yeti footprints at 19,000 feet above sea level in the Himalayas "baffling" and "convincing."Daily Mail: Yeti evidence is 'convincing' says wildlife expert Sir David Attenborough (February 28, 2009)
