Yeah Yeah Yeahs

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a New York City based art-Rock band led by charismatic lead singer and Indie Rock sex symbol Karen O.

They will be featured on Saturday Night Live for the first time on April 11, 2009.

Riding the Rock and Roll revival of the early 2000s (along with bands such as The Strokes and Liars, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs first album Fever to Tell was a critical smash and spawned the hit single "Maps". The band's follow up album, 2006's Show Your Bones, was generally well-received and included the hit song "Gold Lion". The band's highly anticipated third album, It's Blitz!, was released via Interscope Records on March 10, 2009. Prior to it's release, the band stated the album would feature less guitar than their previous releases. It was reportedly inspired by Giorgio Moroder and Joy Division. Originally, the band intended the album to be released in April, but do to it being leaked more than a month early the release date was changed to March 10. On their website, the band wrote, "YYYs have been brimming with nervous excitement in anticipation of releasing this record to the world!
