Dallas taxi driver Yaser Abdel Said is accused of murdering his two teenage daughters, Sarah Yaser Said and Amina Yaser Said. Their bodies were found in the back seat of his cab on January 1, 2008.
The FBI announced in October 2008 that the murders may have been a so-called honor killing, prompted by the daughters' relationships with non-Muslim men. It was the first time the FBI had designated a murder as a possible honor killing, a phenomenon more common throughout the Middle East and South Asia.FOX News: First Time FBI Calls Case an 'Honor Killing' (October 14, 2008)
