  • Yanic Perreault is a professional ice hockey player for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League.
  • Early Career

    Prior to his NHL days, Perreault played for the Trois-Rivieres Draveurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, starting in 1988. He was drafted 47th overall in the 1991 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs. He played with the Leafs' American Hockey League affiliate, the St. John's Maple Leafs for nearly three seasons before making his NHL debut in 1993. A 1994 trade sent Perreault to the Philadelphia Flyers. Just over one season later, he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings. Perreault stayed with the Kings until March 23, 1999, when they traded him back to the Maple Leafs. He completed the 2000-01 regular season in Toronto, then entered free agency, signing with the Montreal Canadiens on July 4, 2001.
  • Recent Career

    After three seasons with the Canadiens, Perreault returned from the 2004-05 NHL Lockout to sign with the Nashville Predators as a free agent. The following year he signed with the Phoenix Coyotes on October 29, 2006. Just 49 games later, Perreault returned to the Maple Leafs as a result of a February 27, 2007 trade. He again entered the free agnecy at the conclusion of the season, and signed with the Chicago Blackhawks .
