Waffle House waitress Yakeisha Ward was arrested on charges of assault and battery with intent to kill, after allegedly shooting a restaurant customer. According to the victim, Crystal Samuel, Samuel met her friends at the Manning, South Carolina, Waffle House on the morning of May 10, 2009. Her friends, who had arrived earlier, ordered food for carryout, while waiting for Samuel to arrive. After she joined the group and ordered an All-Star, a breakfast with grits, sausage, eggs, toast and a waffle, her friends began eating from their takeout boxes.WLTX (Columbia, SC): Eggs, Hashbrowns and a Gun?

Ward, who was their waitress, reportedly told the group that they were not permitted to eat from the takeout boxes while in the restaurant and asked them to leave. Samuel stated that she threw a waffle at Ward, which led to the two women going into the parking lot to fight. Ward allegedly retrieved a gun from her car and shot at Samuel.
