Yahoo Shine is a website created by [[Yahoo!]] which is for women. It focuses on issues and topics for women in all demographics, including mothers, single, married and working. Readers are encouraged to create blogs, comment on articles and vote in daily polls. Shine is run by an all women group and their main focus is on things that make women unique. "We no longer need to stand by passively as the media portrays us as fashion-obsessed diet victims. With the internet as our megaphone, we can now portray ourselves as funny, opinionated women who are in charge of our incomes, careers, families and happiness."
