On August 12, 2008, [[Yahoo!]] launched its Fire Eagle database service, a platform for managing a user's location through both the Internet and cell phones. The service allows a user to update information about their current location, and then share that information across websites, mobile services and desktop applications. Fire Eagle updates will work with social networking platforms such at MySpace and Facebook, as well as 22 launch partner websites.BetaNews: Yahoo's Fire Eagle has landed...
