Yahoo! Search Boss is an open search web services platform launched by [[Yahoo!]] in July 2008. BOSS allows users to use the Yahoo! search index to create their own web-scale search products. In December 2008, five months after BOSS' launch, Yahoo! announced that BOSS is averaging 10 million queries per day, which break down to about 100 queries per second. The Yahoo!
