    With over 1,000 categories, the questions on Yahoo! Answers are organized by topics. After a user submits a question, answers are posted over a 7-day period during which time users vote on the best answer.   • Points and Levels

    Yahoo! Answers operates on a system of points and levels designed to encourage user participation. Points are distributed based on actions taken such as answering questions and voting on the best answers, and determine a user's level, 7 being the highest.
