• XXX The Return of Xander Cage is the third film in the XXX action film series.

  The first film starred Vin Diesel as Xander Cage and was directed by Rob Cohen. The second film XXX: State of the Union starred Ice Cube as Darius Stone and was directed by Lee Tamahori. Both films featured Samuel L. Jackson as the character of Agent Augustus Gibbons.

  Director Rob Cohen is expected to return for the third film.Writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris are reportedly in talks to write the script. • Death of Xander Cage

  In XXX: State of the Union the film mentions the death of Xander Cage. The special edition of the DVD, even went so far as to feature a short film which shows the death of the character. A body double which resembled Vin Diesel was used to play the part of Xander Cage.
