XDCD is a web comic created by Randall Munroe. The strip does not have a continuing story or recurring characters; instead, it features stick figure characters in stories contained within a single strip or a small amount of strips. XKCD's humor is driven by wit as opposed to story, and it typically deals with issues relating to technology, philosophy and offbeat observational humo.
How XKCD Started

When Randall Munroe was a student, he drew may doodles in his notebooks. He later decided to scan the doodles to show them on his personal web site. Soon the doodles became the most popular thing on his site, meriting its own section, then its own site.
