The Xinhai Revolution was an internal conflict in the final days of Imperial China that directly led to the collapse of the Qing Dynasty, and with it Imperial rule as a whole in China. It was fomented by the Chinese Revolutionary Alliance and resulted in the establishment of the Provincial Government of the Republic of China.
Casualties
- Revolutionaries: ~50,000
- Imperials: Unknown
Temporary Solution
Though the revolution succeeded in ending 2000 years of Imperial rule, republican rule would only last a few decades before civil war between the Communist and Nationalist parties would break out in China.
