Xerox

Xerox is a manufacturer of color and black-and-white printers, photo copiers, digital production printing presses, and document consulting services. Because of the company's innovations, Xerox has become nearly synonymous with "copy."

  1. 1958: The Haloid Company changes its name to Haloid Xerox
  2. 1959: Introduce Xerox 914, first photo copier using xerography
  3. 1961: Name shortened to Xerox, company goes public
  4. 1963: Introduce Xerox 813, first desktop copier
  5. 1969: Invent the first laser printer
  6. 2000: Acquire Tektronix
