Anonymous sources discuss development of a Wiimote clone controller for the Xbox 360 as of summer 2007 with support from developer Rare share information with MTV News. The new controller is described as similar in functionality and design to the Wii remote, having four buttons, an analog stick and microphone, and is said to interact with the Xbox Live Vision Camera. The report claims it would be available before the end of 2008. -

8bitjoystick reports the existence of patents from Gyration, the same company responsible for the Wii's remote technology, as proof of the technology behind the Microsoft project. -

Gyration denies any such project in development with Microsoft, however Boston-based developer Motus has an existing product on the market called the "Darwin" that works with PCs in addition to the Nintendo Wii. -
