Start
- YouTube: Chapter 1 Origins Part 1 (Time: 5:04)
- After the opening cinema, get used to the controls as you kill the guerillas. The machete thugs are probably your biggest threat; kill them quickly by tossing them off the nearby cliff, or into the statues.
- Kill enough of the thugs to cause gunmen to storm through the gate. Kill the gunmen asap before they do too much damage.
- After all are dead, continue through the gate along the linear path, past a waterfall.
- Dog Tag #1: Before passing the waterfall, walk right through it to find a hidden cave beyond. Search the corpse for the dog tag.

- At the cliff ahead, target the enemy with the right bumper and use the left bumper to "lunge," killing the gunman and crossing the gap at the same time.
- Approach the cliff at the end of the path for a cutscene, then use the target enemy/lunge technique to drop down to and attack the platoon below. Kill them all.
- You can now use Feral Senses (press up on the d-pad) to alert yourself to objects in the level you can interact with. In this case, Feral Senses will highlight the ledges and ropes you can climb up (as green). Climb upwards.
- At the top, get ready for an assault with a helicopter. Stand in front of the broken bridge, lock on, and use your lunge. Hold down the Y button to break the glass and take out the pilot.

- In the next area, enter the temple ahead to take on a new enemy, "Machete Champion". This guy fights mostly similar to the machete thugs, except that his hits really hurt. When he charges forward, jump out of the way and throw him when you land. You want to throw him into the statue environmental hazards for an easy kill. Turn on Feral Senses to spot the environmental hazards easily.
- After killing him, hordes of machete thugs will attack. Kill them; if Wolvie is in close enough range to a spike environmental hazard and uses the throw button on an enemy, he'll automatically kill the foe with a special fatality.
- Killing enough machete thugs will bring gunmen that will open the exit; kill them and continue.
- Dog Tag #2: Before leaving Machete Champion's room, search the area he first came from for a body with the dog tag.
- Approach the bridge for a checkpoint.

Checkpoint #2
- Continue on through the jungle path killing anything in your way. At the end of the path, jump onto the zip line to reach the next area.

- Make your way up the hill at the bottom, killing all in your path. Watch out for the fuel drums and canisters; they explode when struck (they are colored red if you view them through Feral Senses).
- At the top of the hill, take out the crew guarding the jeep.
- Dog Tag #3: Check the corpse in the jeep area lying by one of the big crates near the fuel drums.
- Walk up to the jeep and press B to push or pull the jeep down the hill. It will open a new path.
- Immediately kill the gunners sniping from the cliffs around this area. If not, Wolvie will go likely down quickly. Use double jumps or lunges to scale the cliffs to reach them.
- Mop up the rest of the crew and eventually Machete Champion will appear for a rematch. As before, lure him near the statue environmental hazard and kill him with it. You will get a checkpoint.
- Continue on through the jungle path killing anything in your way. At the end of the path, jump onto the zip line to reach the next area.

Checkpoint #3
- Gunners will appear, opening the exit. Kill them and leave.
- Follow the path ahead and take out anyone in your way. At the dead-end, use the vines to climb up the wall and drop into another area.

- Again, kill the gunners before mopping up the rest of the goons in this area.
- Achievement (Found!): Before leaving this area, smash apart the wood planks blocking a route located just to the left from where you dropped down into this area. Go through the portal and touch the mysterious hatch at the end of the path for the Found! acheivement. The hatch itself has no use although fans of the TV series Lost will have a chuckle.
- Dog Tag #4: The corpse to search is right next to the hatch that gives you the Found! Achievement. Turn on Feral Senses to see it.
- To leave this area, turn on Feral Senses and find the green ledges to climb up and out and drop down into the next area.

Checkpoint #4
- Kill the baddies in the next area you drop into, then continue on the path to the temple ahead.
- Dog Tag #5: Before leaving, check the corpse by the gate, right below from where you dropped down.
- Climb the steps up to the temple and continue right.
- Wolverine Action Figure: Before going right, smash up the wood planks boarding up the door ahead, then go inside for the figure.
- Follow the path along the temple to a cutscene showing a guard above. Smash the wood planks boarding up the door nearby and enter.
- Turn on Feral Senses and jump up to the ledge inside. Use it to shimmy left, then climb up.
- Pass the quick-time event ("QTE"). You'll get another checkpoint after the cutscene.

Checkpoint #5
- Follow the linear path through the temple. You will eventually encounter a wheel; use it with the B button, then quickly run to the door it opens and roll under it before it shuts by holding the right trigger, then pressing the left trigger.
- Past the door is a courtyard. Take out all the goons, and use lunges to kill the gunners when they appear.
- Machete Champion will arrive after killing all the goons. Kill him by throwing him into a statue hazard as before.

- After wiping out all the enemies, use the nearby rope to climb up, then jump from the rope to a second rope nearby.
- Dog Tag #6: Before jumping to the second rope, jump to the ledge near the top of the first rope and search the corpse.
- From the second rope, jump to the ledge ahead and follow the path to the next area to drop down into.

Checkpoint #6
- Dog Tag #7: Search the corpse to the right from where you land in this area, lying by a closed gate.
- From where you land, follow the linear path, slaying all in your way, till you reach a rope. Climb it.
- Atop, kill the gunners and continue. Use a lunge leap to reach the gunner on the balcony across the gap. Remember to perform the lunge from a standing position, NOT in mid-air.
- From the balcony the gunner was occupying, follow the path to another courtyard. Machete Champion will show up; toss him into a statue as usual and continue.
- Follow the linear path to a hole that leads downward where some gunners lurk. Drop down and kill them.
- Dog Tag #8: Before dropping down, stand in front of the hole and turn on Feral Senses. You should spot the body with the dog tag nearby the hole.
- You cannot use the wheel device yet as the wheel is missing. Follow the path to a bridge that leads to the wheel. Pick it up with B; you can also drop it with B, as you'll need to do to fend off a goon squad after you collect the wheel.
- Carry the wheel to the wheel device and use it. Use the device to open the door and roll through it.

Checkpoint #7
- You'll take on a boss-like character, "Leviathan". He hits quite hard, so make sure to jump out of the way of his tackles and punches (roll dodging is not as effective).
- To inflict the most damage, you must lock on to him and lunge. When you do so, Wolvie should jump onto his head; mash X or Y to stab away at him. Jump away when Leviathan starts raising his hand or he'll swat Wolvie for big damage.

- Make sure to lunge only after a missed attack from Leviation, or he'll simply catch Wolvie in mid-leap. Also note that Wolvie will not lunge if he is too close, same as with any other enemy.
- After a while, Leviathan will upgrade his armor, making the lunge attack the only way to hurt him. He also starts creating and throwing boulders at Wolvie; if he has a boulder in his hands, stay out of close range with him all costs or he'll smash the boulder over Wolvie's head repeatedly till he dies.
- When your lunge attacks completely defeat his health, a QTE is triggered; win it to kill him.
- Dog Tag #9: In the Leviathan's arena, there is a statue you can push (use Feral Senses to spot it). Push it forward to reach a corpse tucked away behind it. This little niche is also a great hiding spot from Leviathan.

Checkpoint #8
- Kill the machete thugs coming out the door nearby, then pull the statue beyond the door outside.
- Use the statue to climb up to the wall vines above and to the ledge beyond.
- Dog Tag #10: After reaching the ledge, cut your way through the crumbling wall right in front of you and find the corpse in the back of the room.

- Use a lunge to reach the gunner on the balcony ahead, then jump onto the zip line.
- Machete Champion will attack once more. This time there's no statue to throw him into, so pound on him. He's very weak to rage attacks and lunges, especially if you use the combo attacks you can link from lunging. You can easily cancel his big flaming slam attack by just jumping up and air throwing him.
- A boat with goons will appear; use a lunge attack from the dock to board it.

Checkpoint #9
- From the boat you start on, toss all the goons overboard.
- Lunge attack to the next boat, kill the crew (ignore the driver), then progress to the next boat.
- Capturing the last boat begins a rail shooter sequence. Just shoot up the boats until they explode. Destroy enough boats to trigger a cutscene and a boss fight.

Checkpoint #10
- You fight Victor Creed as a boss. He is VERY vulnerable to the XXXY combo attack. Just keep repeating that combo and Creed will fall easily. Conversly, Creed can hit Wolverine for some obscene combos, so be careful. For kicks, you can grab him by the bar or the wooden posts on the side of the room to trigger a humorous throwing sequence.

- Depleting all of Creed's health will trigger a cutscene, and you'll have to fight him again with his health restored. The XXXY combo is still effective, so use it. Creed can still pull off some dangerous combos and this time will trigger QTEs if he catches Wolvie near one of the poles by the walls; mash the correct buttons to survive the QTE or Wolvie will fall fast.
- Depleting all of Creed's health will start the final showdown outside the bar. Creed is less aggressive here and is now very vulnerable to throws; however, he now can hit for colossal damage especially if he manages to throw Wolverine, so beware. Keep hitting him with the XXXY combo and try to pin him between the parked cars. You can also blow up the fuel drums while he's close by for huge damage. Try grabbing him while he's near a parked car for a special throwing animation.
- Achievement (Stick Around): You must throw Creed into one of the pole hazards around the area outside. Use Feral Senses to spot them; they are marked red and are located on the telephone poles and the bar roof.
- Creed's health will automatically refill one more time outside when depleted; keep hammering him till he finally goes down.
- You fight Victor Creed as a boss. He is VERY vulnerable to the XXXY combo attack. Just keep repeating that combo and Creed will fall easily. Start
- The facility guards are a lot tougher that the previous enemies you fought. If there is a mob, don't hesitate to use your berserker ability to gain an advantage. Fight your way out of the Weapon X room and continue.
- Dog Tag #11: Search the corpse by the morgue area before leaving the Weapon X room.
- Go down the hall, killing enemies. Walk up to the doors marked as green in Feral Sense mode and use the QTE to open it.

Checkpoint #1
- Open the next door and get ready to fight an "Elite Commando". He's very vulnerable to counter attacks. When he does the jumping strike, block right before he hits and press X as he staggers back in slo-motion; Wolvie will deliver a vicious slashing. Two such counter attacks will kill him, or you can hit him with one counter attack, then immediately jump while he's airborne and hit him with an air throw.
- Taking him out will cause two more elite commandos to join the fray. Wipe them out with counter attacks, then kill the gunners that appear and ride the elevator out.

- In the next hall, you can enter the door on the left for a laptop that provides a "worklog" (an audio file that provides backstory for the game). Otherwise, continue forward for a checkpoint.
- Dog Tag #12: Check the corpse in the room with the laptop.

Checkpoint #2
- Enter the next room and go to the exit on the left. The enemy will shut the door and gas will flood the room.
- You must turn on Feral Senses to find the baddies and kill them before they overwhelm Wolvie. Killing enough of them will get an elite commando to join the fray.
- Killing all the baddies will open the exit to the next checkpoint.

Checkpoint #3
- Go down the hall and continue taking out baddies.
- Go into the next room, an operation room, and clear it of baddies as you walk across to a staircase leading down. There's two worklogs to listen to here, if you like.

- Dog Tag #13: Right by the entrance door to this room is a second door you can pry open. The corpse is inside.
- In the next room, ignore the huge beast in the vat tube and kill the elite commandos. Then investigate the computer monitor by the blast door. #Enter the newly opened door on the other side of the room to fight a new enemy.

Checkpoint #4
- You're now fighting "Ghosts". These guys are invisible normally and can only be seen by Feral Senses. Their shotguns are extremely damaging, however, they are VERY vulnerable to Quick Kills. Run up to a Ghost, grab him, then press Y. Mash Y until the Ghost is killed; you will get a major experience bonus for doing so.

- Kill all the Ghosts, then go up the stairs and grab the blast door battery and a health boost inside the command console room.
- Carry the battery all the way back to the blast door station (where the female doctor contacted you via computer monitor), killing all in your way. You can check out some worklogs in the room as you do so.
- Use the battery on the blast door station, then enter and kill all the guards hiding around the crates.
- Enter the next room for a checkpoint.
- You're now fighting "Ghosts". These guys are invisible normally and can only be seen by Feral Senses. Their shotguns are extremely damaging, however, they are VERY vulnerable to Quick Kills. Run up to a Ghost, grab him, then press Y. Mash Y until the Ghost is killed; you will get a major experience bonus for doing so.

Checkpoint #5
- Now you'll be under attack by a "WENDIGO Prototype". Defeating it is very similar to Leviathan; wait for it to attack, then lunge at it and stab away. It has less health than Leviathan and is all around much less dangerous.

Checkpoint #6
- After killing the WENDIGO, more troops and elite commandos will storm in. Kill them and continue. Listen the worklog if you like before leaving.
- Go down the hall and make a left to the next room. The room with the blood everywhere has another worklog to hear.
- Enter the room at the end of the hall for a cutscene and a worklog. Wolverine will now lose his regeneration and Feral Senses; it is VERY important not to let him get hurt until these are regained.
- Push the crate in the room you are in over to the locked door. Climb the crate and enter the vent above the door.

- Follow the vent to the end and go down the stairs. Push the crate ahead a little to the right to jump up and reach a battery. Before picking up the battery, jump to the ledge above and grab the Healing Factor mutagen.
- Carry the battery to the battery station and use it. The blast doors will open.
- Push the crate so that it is sitting in between the open blast doors. Take the battery out of the station it is in; the blast doors will try to close and instead become jammed open by the crate.
- Slip past the jammed blast doors and use the battery on the station ahead to turn on the elevator. Ride it to a new area.

Checkpoint #7
- Check the worklog if you like, then go down the hall. Use a lunge to kill the trooper in your way.
- Dog Tag #14: Before leaving the room, jump onto the stack of four crates by the edge of the catwalk, then from there to the ledge above. Shimmy to the left to grab a dog tag from the corpse on the other side.

Checkpoint #8
- Stay out of the main hall once the portable turrets appear. Go down the hall Wolvie is in after avoiding the sentries.
- There are two green doors to enter; go in the one straight ahead, a morgue, for a mutagen ("Rampage 1").
- Go inside the other door and stealth kill the guard inside (sneak up to him and press X when in range). Check the worklog, then follow the path out.
- Outside the room, smash the portable turret now that you are behind it, then continue down the hall.
- Two more doors ahead; go in the one on your right, a locker room, for a health boost and a dog tag.
- Dog Tag #15: Inside the locker room, before the room with the catwalks and portable turrets.
- Go into the other room for a room filled with portable turrets and a checkpoint.

Checkpoint #9
- To get past the turrets, you must roll dodge towards the shields so that you are behind them when their lasers are sweeping the catwalk. Continue dodging the turrets this way.
- In the room on the other side, use the computer near the battery storage to open it, and grab a battery. There's also a worklog here.

- Go up the stairs and use the battery on the station, then use the nearby computer it activates to move a shield all the way to the exit door.
- Once the shield is in position, go outside and stand by the shield. It will slowly slide back to the other side; use it as cover from the turrets.
- On the other side, climb into the vent near the surveillance equipment and continue.

Checkpoint #10
- Kill the guard with a lunge, then head down the stairs to the computer behind the shields.
- Use the computer to move the shields ahead as far as they can move. When both are stopped, run as fast as you can to the first moving shield. Use this shield to slip past the turret to reach the second shield.
- From the second shield, go around it. You are now close enough to destroy the turret safely. Continue on.
- Wolverine Action Figure: After wrecking the turret, go back to the computer you used to move the shields. There is a battery you can collect; use it to open a door just beyond the turret. Collect the figure inside.

- Go down the hall past the turret. Instead of going into the first door on the left, go up the stairs first and enter the nearby door for a Vitality mutagen.
- Go back down the stairs and into the room you passed for a cutscene and checkpoint.

Checkpoint #11
- After the cutscene, Wolvie will have regained his healing factor. However, he still is very weak, so immediately go berserker and kill the troops quickly. You will still not have Feral Senses recovered yet, which will be your next objective.
- Killing all the troops opens a new door in the hall you came from. Take out the elite commandos and enter the hall ahead, going up the stairs.
- Dog Tag #16: Before leaving this room, go around behind the device Wolvie was restrained in in the cutscene and search the corpse over by the dissection area.
- You are going to battle your way out, back the way you came. Plow through the enemies and don't hesitate to use the claw spin/berserker mode.
- Eventually you will reach a checkpoint.

Checkpoint #12
- There will be two green doors ahead; enter the one directly ahead for a dog tag, and the one on the right for a big Ghost battle.

- Dog Tag #17: Before entering the Ghost room, enter the room ahead and search the corpse.
- Ghosts are everywhere in the other room, six of them in fact. Immediately turn on berserker mode and kill as many as you can. If you run out of bersereker, use the claw spin. Hopefully you will finish them off before they make meat of Wolvie.
- Killing all the Ghosts will bring in a crew of soldiers; kill them. Open the door in the back corner of the Ghost room and collect the Health Boost. Look around for a worklog before leaving.

- Go back down the hall you came, all the way to where Wolvie regained his healing factor. More soldiers will be attacking you; keep moving forward.
- Dog Tag #18: Before returning to the room where Wolvie got his healing factor back, make a detour into one of the newly opened rooms (soliders will be coming out of it). Search the corpse by the cabinets.
- There will be two green doors ahead; enter the one directly ahead for a dog tag, and the one on the right for a big Ghost battle.

Checkpoint #13
- Right after getting your Feral Senses back, Ghosts will attack. Turn on your Feral Senses and kill them with the grab > mash Y button combo.
- More troops will pour in. If it gets too hectic, start throwing troops into the giant fan for easy kills. Killing all the troops will bring more Ghosts; kill them.
- Once all the enemies are dead, use a lunge to jump over the gap in the catwalks, killing the enemy ahead. There will be a checkpoint here, next to the cells.
- Dog Tag #19: One of the cells has a corpse inside, search it.

Checkpoint #14
- Inside the next room is a "Grenadier". You can easily kill him by blocking his RPG at the last moment, reflecting it back for an easy kill. Take out the elite commandos after dropping him.
- Search the room for an Experience mutagen, then approach the force field for a cutscene.
- Kill the Ghosts and troopers (make sure not to confuse the two as you do so), then press B on the console for the forcefield. Complete the QTE.

Checkpoint #15
- A new enemy will attack you, a "Goliath". He's armed with a shield that apparently even Wolverine's adamantium cannot cut through. There are several options for dealing with their shielding, one of which is to hold Y to charge up an attack that can bust through their shields. Another is to jump into the air and hit Y to perform a ground pound, then follow it up with an airplane spin throw when you land. You can also simply dodge their strikes and counter. They are very vulnerable to quick kills and especially environmental hazards. The best way to get rid of this first Goliath is to bait him into attacking, then grab him and toss him into the forklift.
- After killing the first Goliath, two more will arrive with backup. Use beserker mode to clear as many as possible, then kill the remaining Goliaths.
- Dog Tag #20: Enter the room the two Goliaths came from and search the corpse.
- Enter the hallway the second wave of troops are coming from and proceed to the next checkpoint.

Checkpoint #16
- Another WENDIGO, killed as easily as the last one. Do so.
- More troops will now enter, backed by two grenadiers. Kill the troops and destroy the grenadiers by reflecting their RPGs.

- Enter the next area and slay all the troopers, then grab the hummer and pull it forward.
- Climb up the hummer and use it to jump to the small ledge to the right for an Inner Rage mutagen, then jump to the platform connected to the balance beam.
- Use the balance beams to cross to the other side, watching out for troopers below. Check the two worklogs if you like. Enter the next area.

Checkpoint #17

- Three soldiers are down below; lunge to them and take them out.
- Dog Tag #21: Before lunging downward, follow the catwalk to the end and open the door. Search the corpse inside.
- Enter the turbine room. Check the worklog if you like, then kill all the Ghosts. Get the health boost amongst the turbines.
- Go up the stairs and get ready to fend off grenadiers as you make your way across the catwalks. This time their RPGs will weave in mid-air, making it more difficult to time your block. Use a lunge to cross the gap.
- Go into the door at the end of the catwalk for a checkpoint.

Checkpoint #18
- Kill the two elite commandos, then continue.
- Dog Tag #22: In the hall with the elite commandos, search the corpse tucked away in the dead-end, behind the boxes.

- Go up the stairs and kill all in your path. Follow the path to a door and open it.
- Enter the room and after the cutscene, kill the two thugs and ride the elevator down.

Checkpoint #19
- Turn on Feral Senses and follow the footprints. Kill all in your way.
- The footprints double back into a cargo bay with troops backing up a Goliath. Kill the gunners, then use a quick kill on the Goliath.
- Follow the footprints to a door and open it. Kill the elite commandos and soldiers, then enter one of the side rooms for a Samurai mutagen.
- When ready, open the nearby door and enter the second door, which leads back into the garage with the hummer. If you missed the mutagen here earlier, you can collect it now. Kill the Goliaths by throwing them into the fork lift.

- Once all the enemies are killed, find a small niche and press B on the closet door to kick it down. Kill the scientist.

Checkpoint #20
- There are a mob of soldiers guarding the exit, wipe them out.
- Achievement (Slice 'N Dice): The soldiers here are perfectly bunched together, making for a ripe opportunity to get this achievement; just use a Claw Spin with the duration upgraded, then spin into the crowd.
- When you've killed the enemies, head down the tunnel.

- The tunnel is now flooding; you must run forward without stopping until you see the next roadblock, then lunge onto the truck.
- Keep lunging from truck to truck, clearing them of enemies. The last truck will require you to reflect an RPG back at a grenadier. Do so to complete this level.
