Alternate Costumes
There are Wolverine dolls hidden throughout the game. Find enough dolls wearing the same outfit to initiate combat with an alternate version of Wolverine in that costume. If the player wins the encounter, the costume worn by the alternate version will be unlocked. These costumes include the classic X-Men yellow-and-blue, brown-and-tan, and black X-Force uniforms. In addition to unlockable outfits, Wolverine dons a number of different costumes throughout the normal course of the game. Some of these include a tank top and jeans or military fatigues.
One costume that will not be found in the game? Zombie Wolverine. In an interview with IGN, project lead Dan Vondrak revealed that he had hoped to see a Zombie Wolverine outfit in the game, but Marvel Comics could not find a way to fit such a scenario into the established, and often complex, storylines of the Marvel universe.IGN: Wolverine's Alternate Looks (April 20, 2009) G4TV: Preview: X-Men Origins: Wolverine (April 7, 2009)

X-Force Wolverine
- Like all the Danger Room Wolverines, he has unlimited rage. Unlike the other Wolverines, he's perfectly willing to abuse his fury moves and especially berserker mode. Bait him into lunging, then rip into him. You'll want to keep him lunging to avoid provoking him into using fury moves. Don't try lunging yourself or he will most likely punish you for it. Counter attack when he tries for a combo.

Ultimate Wolverine
- Fought 4 WENDIG0 prototypes at the same time and defeated them at Alkali lake (15)
- Near the end of the Alkali Lake level, there is a sequence where Agent Zero, from a helicopter, will destroy a containment pod, releasing a WENDIGO. It is possible to break the other pods (either by yourself or by accident from the helicopter or other WENDIGOs) to release more WENDIGOs. Survive a fight against all four WENDIGOs to get this achievement. There is no penalty if WENDIGOs are killed by the helicopter or each other; you need simply release all four at once and survive the battle.
Threading the Needle
- Flew through the 0 ring in the Sentinel Boss Battle (15)
- Gained during the sequence where you freefall towards the Mark I Sentinel while avoiding debris. Destroy the first engine, then wait until a giant, C-shaped metal ring debris comes flying your way. Steer Wolverine through the ring hole for the achievement. The maneuver does not have to be perfect; Wolverine can smack the sides of the ring and you will still get the achievement as long you are passing through the ring hole.
Classic Wolverine
- He can use fury attacks more often, particularly berserker rages, making him a much tougher opponent. If he is berserking, stay away from him, or hurl him away with the lunge throw. Counter attacks are very effective; they do big damage and will disrupt his combo.
Legendary Wolverine
- Fairly easy. He is very vulnerable to lunges and counter attacks, and rarely uses fury attacks despite having unlimited rage. When he's near death, start using your rage attacks.

WoW!
- You feel cold as you examine the skeleton and read the name "Arthas" etched into the nearby sword (15)
- Play through the Alkali Lake level until you fight two WENDIGOs at once. Kill them, then fight through the roadblock after them. Climb the cliffs and follow the path. Keep an eye on your right and you should eventually see a log leading upwards into a cave (right before you fight three troops). Enter and touch the sword inside.
Found!
- You found a mysterious hatch! (15)
- Reach the third checkpoint of the first level, then follow the level's main path to some wall vines. Climb them to drop down into the next area, then go right and smash through the wooden planks boarding up a doorway. Follow the path to a "mysterious hatch" and stand on it.

Blender
- Killed 200 enemies using the Claw Spin (25)
Hot Potato
- Light 20 enemies on fire (20)
- One method is to set Wolverine on fire and have him lunge at enemies while he's burning. A few enemies, such as the Machete Champion and the Sentinel Head, are capable of setting Wolverine on fire. There's also a burning crucible in one of the Africa levels you can use to ignite Wolverine. Finally, some levels have gas pipe hazards you can hurl enemies into, which will torch them and any enemies they touch as they run about on fire.
