  • Dog Tags are collectible items in X-Men Origins Wolverine Game, the action game published by Activision for multiple platforms and released on May 1, 2009. There are 95 dog tags scattered throughout the game. The tags have a yellow glow, so they're fairly easy to spot. Each set of tags gives Wolverine a boost in experience points. This XP boost increases as the player finds more dog tags.

  • About the Game

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a third-person action game developed for the Xbox 360, PS3 and a number of other platforms. The game expands upon the events in the film and recounts the story of Wolverine's past, revealing how he came to possess an adamantite skeleton.

    Over the course of the game, Wolverine has access to a few different unlockable costumes. Hidden throughout the game are action figures with different outfits on. If Wolverine collects enough figures with the same outfit, he will be able to battle an alternate version of himself in that costume. If the player defeats the alternate version, he will earn the costume it was wearing.IGN: Wolverine's Alternate Looks (April 20, 2009)

  • Africa

    1. Dog Tags: 10
    2. After going through the first gate, collect the tags from the body in the alcove behind the waterfall.
    3. After the fight with the first Machete Champion, look on the body in an alcove behind where he spawns.
    4. Use the zip line, take out the guard and move up the hill. Kill the rebels guarding the supply stash and then collect the dog tags behind the barrels.
    5. After climbing the vine-covered wall, lunge down onto the enemies below. Turn around and face the boarded doorway and smash through it. Collect the tags from the body on the right. This is near the hatch that unlocks the "Found!" achievement.
    6. Climb over the ledges on the left of the locked gate, then jump down to the other side. Grab the tags from the body near the gate.
    7. After speeding through the gate and entering the large courtyard, clear out the enemies and climb the rope near the corner. Jump to the ledge to find a set of dog tags.
    8. Jump back to the rope and across the two platforms to a walkway in the far corner. Jump down and look for a large wooden gate with a body in front of it.
    9. After the zigzagging corridor and taking out the Machete Champion near the pool of water, look for some stairs leading downward and another body with dog tags.
    10. After the fight with Leviathan, two rebels will enter the room. Go to the statue opposite where they entered and push it to find another set of dog tags.
    11. Climb up the vines to a walkway and smash through the cracked wall to loot the final set of tags.

  • Weapon X Facility

    1. Dog Tags: 12
    2. In the first room, take out all the enemies and then look for the dog tags in the corner to the right of the open door.
    3. After fighting three Elite Commandos, ride the lift up to the next floor. Look for a body in the first lab on the left.
    4. After reaching the next lab, fight the enemies and grab the Worklog. There will be a workstation ahead to the right and the room will continue to the left. Open the door to the storage room on the left for the next set of tags.
    5. Use the power cell to activate the lift and then ride it up. Use the crates to jump up and grab the ledge. Shimmy to the left to reach a walkway with a body and some dog tags.
    6. After listening to the Worklogs in Dr. Frost's lab, continue forward and destroy the auto-turret. Move down the stairs and enter the room on the right for another set of dog tags.
    7. After regaining Logan's healing abilities, take out the enemies and then head upstairs. Look for a body in the back near the locked door.
    8. After the checkpoint, head down the corridor to the left and enter the room at the end to find some dog tags.
    9. Move back down the hall and head down the stairs. Take out the enemies and look for some tags in the room on the right.
    10. After Dr. Frost restore's Wolverine's Feral Senses, fight the squad of enemies that enter the room. Lunge across the gap in the room to a walkway and look for some dog tags on a body in the cell on the right.
    11. After Anna teleports herself and Logan, take all the enemies. Go through the door closest to the forklift to find the next set of tags.
    12. Walk across the beams, then head over to catwalk and pry open the door around the corner to find more tage.
    13. After fighting three Grenadiers, lunge across to some machine gunners on another walkway. Look behind a crate in the next corridor to collect the final set of dog tags.

  • Africa

    1. Dog Tags: 5
    2. After defeating the Leviathan, look for a body leaning against a pedestal near the path on the right.
    3. Head into the temple and look for another set of tags just opposite the entrance.
    4. Pull the large statue from the alcove and move along the upper walkway. Round the corner to enter a room with some dog tags. Turn the crank to open the door and then dash across to reach the body. Dash immediately under the door and out of the room.
    5. The next area is a pit with three big statues. At the far end, there's a body on the walkway to the right, near the moveable block.
    6. Use the vines to climb the tower. At the third level, head inside and kill the enemies. Then climb the vines inside to reach the top of the tower. Jump across the gap for the final set of dog tags.

  • Alkali Lake

    1. Dog Tags: 15
    2. While battle the WENDIGO Prototype, it will smash through some logs and run off into the forest. Before chasing after it, there are two sets of tags to collect. The first is to the right of where Logan landed when falling onto the frozen pond
    3. The second is at the beginning of the path created by the WENDIGO.
    4. Run from the artillery strike, dodging bombs with Wolverine's Feral Sense. A large boulder crashes behind him, marking a check point. There are some dog tags on a body nearby.
    5. Knock over the metal tower and use it to cross the valley. Immediately turn to the right to find a body with some tags.
    6. Stealth kill the guard by the fence, kill the next guard by the crates. There's a health boost near some crates on the right and some dog tags in the far left-hand corner, off a little ledge.
    7. After defeating the three Ghosts, shimmy across the cables to a ladder leading to a tower. Use the tower to take out the Machete Master and then walk across it for some C4 and more dog tags.
    8. After dodging the helicopter, take out the enemies gathered on the bridge. Look for some dog tags on the left side.
    9. After collecting a Healing Factor 2 Mutagen, Wolverine has another enounter with the helicopter. Double-jump over the gaps in the bridge and jump down, pausing for a moment to find the dog tags nearby.
    10. Look for another set of dog tags in this same area before continuing on.
    11. From the helipad, Wolverine makes his way to some rocks outside a warehouse. Descend the ramp to the area with the turntable, kick open the green doors on the lower level to find some dog tags.
    12. After pulling the truck onto the turntable, drop through the hole in the ceiling and shimmy across a pipe to the next landing. Look for a guard standing outside a window near another set of dog tags.
    13. After fighting the WENDIGOs, Grenadiers and Goliaths, use the truck on the right to jump onto a ledge and collect the next set of dog tags.
    14. Nord flees and a ton of gunmen and Elite Commandos swarm in. After taking them out, climb the ledges to the top. Move to the right to find some dog tags.
    15. At the dam, wait for the current to slow down and then leap across to reach the other side of the dam. Look in the recess on the left for a set of dog tags.
    16. Nord flees through a garage door. Pull the truck out of its parking spot and climb up to the top of the garage. Lunge across the gap, then lunge for the Grenadier in the window above the garage door. Look for a dog tag inside the small office. Note: Do not reflect the Grenadier's rocket!

  • Africa 1

    Dog Tags: 1

    1. After fight the three Shifters, head through the door behind the crank and follow the corridor toward a courtyard. Don't forget to grab the dog tags along the way.

  • Southwest United States

    1. Dog Tags: 4
    2. After finding the Inner Rage 2 Mutagen near the entry point, head down the hallway and look for some dog tags in the first room on the right.
    3. Exit the room and continue down the hall. Look in the first door you come to on the left for a second body with more dog tags.
    4. Use the power cell to open the door and go through the door on the left to enter the laser control room. Kill off the gunners and Enforcer Droids and then look for a body with some tags on the left side of the room.
    5. After deactivating the lasers and moving the teleporter to the far platform, teleport Logan to the other side. Head around the corner to the left to find some dog tags. Finding this set unlocks the "Astonishing" achievement for finding half of the dog tags in the game.

  • Africa 2

    1. Dog Tags: 3
    2. After riding the elevator down, look for a body right where the level begins.
    3. After finding the Classic Wolverine action figure, go past the spiked floors and defeat the two Shifters and then look for the dog tags in the corner to the right of the entrance.
    4. In the room with the statue puzzle, crank the statues into place. Cross the room by lunging at the Machete Champion on the other side. Grab the dog tags from the hallway.

  • Systemized Cybernetics Lab 1

    1. Dog Tags: 13
    2. At the beginning of the level, after finding the Shredder 2 Mutagen, hop on the platform on the left and ride it down. Leap across to the body with the dog tags.
    3. After getting the health boost, use the conveyors to get across the room to reach the next landing. There is one set of dog tags near the desk on the landing to the left of the moving platforms.
    4. The second set of dog tags is around the corner to the right.
    5. After using the teleporter and defeating the Enforcer Droids, head through the door to the right. Kill the Ghosts and then look for the dog tags in an alcove on the right.
    6. After using the teleporter to pass through the force field, look to the left for a computer terminal with a power cell and some dog tags.
    7. After getting Trask's hand, head back to the Cryo Freeze room and kill the enemies there. Climb the ladder in the corner and look inside a small room on the side of the hallway to find some dog tags.
    8. In the next area, kill the Predator Unit and the other enemies. Then hop into the elevator and ride it up to find a set of dog tags.
    9. Tiptoe across the beam to the central platform and look to the left for another set of dog tags.
    10. Extend the retractable bridge and head across. Dash to the enemy on the other side. The dog tags are on the right.
    11. After saying hello to the Mark 1 Sentinel, head up the stairs to find some dog tags by the teleporter controls.
    12. Use the teleporter to get to the far side of the room and look for some dog tags underneath the stairs.
    13. In the room with the Sentinel head, use the moving platforms to the right of the entrance to reach the alcove with the first ladder. Climb up and grab the dog tags to the left.
    14. In this same room, hop on the second-level platforms and head left to climb the next ladder. At the top, move left to find some more dog tags.

  • Africa 3

    1. Dog Tags: 3
    2. At the beginning of the level, kill the Hunters and grab the dog tags from a body at the base of a tree near the cliff edge.
    3. After taking out the numerous Machete Masters, continue down the walkway and double-jump to the ledge on the side. Shimmy to the far left, pausing to jump over a waterfall. Pull yourself up and continue left to find the dog tags. The Experienced 3 Mutagen is also nearby, up some stairs in the center.
    4. From the Mutagen climb some vines and head to the right. Climb a rope and then continue into the tower. The final set of tags can be found to the right of the doorway.

  • Systemized Cybernetics Lab 2

    1. Dog Tags: 8
    2. Face the Sentinel and run for the door to the far left. Grab the dog tags before heading out.
    3. After escaping the Sentinel Head and finding the Inner Rage 3 Mutagen, go to the east side of the room to find some dog tags before taking the elevator down to the next level.
    4. Exit the elevator and look to the right for a body lying by a ladder.
    5. Climb the ladder to reach the track control panel. Look in the northeastern corner for some dog tags.
    6. After using the Sentinel Hand to take out some enemies, ride up the elevator to the Sentinel Bay Control Room. There are some dog tags on the right side of the room.
    7. After destroying the Sentinel Head, pry open the door it was guarding in the center of the room. There is a body on the right side, in front of a door.
    8. There is another body in this same room, on the left side.
    9. After the cutscene, grab the dog tags next to Wraith's cell.

  • New Orleans

    1. Dog Tags: 16
    2. After fighting Gambit, head upstairs, watch the cutscene, and then look to the left for a body against a pillar.
    3. Soon after this, use a large crate to get to some scaffolding. Climb the rope, leap across the gap, and then shimmy over another rope to reach a walkway. There are some dog tags on the right.
    4. From here, kick open the door and continue toward the atrium. There are two sets of dog tags in this hallway. The first body is on the right, just a few feet down the hall.
    5. The second set of tags is further down the hall. Go through a doorway on the right and look for a body lying in front of a fountain.
    6. After finding the Blood Rage 3 Mutagen, continue fighting the enemies in the atrium while heading to the right. Grab the dog tags from the body on the stairs.
    7. In this same room, use the moveable crate to reach the scaffolding. Shimmy over the rope to cross the room and find another body.
    8. Use the platform between the two statues and lunge at the gunmen to ride the elevator up a level. Shimmy along the rope to the left to find a set of dog tags.
    9. Use the beam to cross the room. Move to the right look for some windows. There are some dog tags on the floor to the left of the platforms.
    10. After Logan crashes through the window and fights all the enemies, step back through the broken window and follow the ledge around the building. Move past the ladder to find some dog tags.
    11. In the area with the zip lines, use the first zip line to the left and then jump up to reach the second zip line. After landing on the main platform, there will be a body straight ahead.
    12. Climb the wall to the interior of the tower. Drop down by the rope to find some dog tags.
    13. Slash the rope and then jump across the gap. Look on the other side of the fallen crate for some more dog tags.
    14. After crashing the helicopter, grab the dog tags from the body on the left.
    15. Push the large metal container across the bridge. Once the side windows close, look in the right corner for a body.
    16. After killing the Assassins, Logan ends up in an upper construction area. Climb the wall to reach the next floor, where there is a rope leading to a lower platform. Grab the dog tags from behind the crate before using the rope.
    17. Logan reaches an area where there are some ropes holding a large beam. Cut the ropes to rotate the beam and use it as a bridge to reach a ramp leading to the next floor. Look for some dog tags in an alcove to the far left.

  • Africa

    1. Dog Tags: 2
    2. After lunging to an enemy to get through a gate, jump into the hole around the corner to find some dog tags before using the rope.
    3. After defeating the Leviathan, use the crank to open the large gate and continue forward. On the walkway, use Feral Senses and look for a glowing ledge. Jump to it, shimmy to the left, and then climb up to find the final set of dog tags.

  • The Island

    1. Dog Tags: 3
    2. Near the beginning of the level, head up the stairs to find some Ghosts on a catwalk. There are some dog tags here.
    3. From there, move up another set of steps, a little bit down a hall and turn left into a caged area. Another body can be found here.
    4. Cross the metal bridge and enter the room. The final set of dog tags in the game can be found in the top right corner.
