About the Game

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a third-person action game that tells the story of Wolverine's past and explains how he ended up with an adamantium skeleton and regenerative abilities. The game was developed for multiple platforms, including the Xbox 360 and PS3, and has a release date of May 1, 2009.Official Site: X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Fury Attacks

Normally, Wolverine uses his adamantite claws in combat, which are good for the basics but they have a fairly short range. However, Wolverine is an angry fellow and he constantly builds up Rage as he fights. Hold the right trigger on the controller to access his Fury attacks, which developer Raven Software has dubbed "overpowered, but...fun as hell." Each attack has a unique tactical purpose that makes it ideal in specific situations. For example, the Claw Spin inflicts small amounts of damage to multiple enemies at once; the Claw Drill attack is useful when facing a single powerful enemy. Each Fury attack can be upgraded and Wolverine will truly be a force to be reckoned with by the end of the game.IGN: X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Inside Look: Rage (April 23, 2009)

  • Reach the third checkpoint of the first level, then follow the level's main path to some wall vines. Climb them to drop down into the next area, then go right and smash through the wooden planks boarding up a doorway. Follow the path to a "mysterious hatch" and stand on it.

WoW!

  • You feel cold as you examine the skeleton and read the name "Arthas" etched into the nearby sword (15)

Keep an eye on your right and you should eventually see a log leading upwards into a cave (right before you fight three troops). Enter and touch the sword inside.

The Cake

  • You found the cake, yummy! (15)

  • Play through the Cybernetics Lab until you reach the cryogenics room. Find the teleporter controls and move the teleporter as far right (from your perspective) as it can go. It should go right through the wall into a secret room. Teleport into the room.

Finally, some levels have gas pipe hazards you can hurl enemies into, which will torch them and any enemies they touch as they run about on fire.

It is possible to break the other pods (either by yourself or by accident from the helicopter or other WENDIGOs) to release more WENDIGOs. Survive a fight against all four WENDIGOs to get this achievement. Costume Challenges

How To Unlock

  1. Just collect at least two of each type of Wolverine Action Figure in the campaign (Legendary, Classic, and X-Force). Collecting two of each unlocks a costume challenge for that costume.

  2. The challenge itself involves you taking on a Wolverine in the Danger Room wearing the new costume. Beat the Wolverine to unlock the costume. Strategies are below.

Legendary Wolverine

  • Fairly easy. He is very vulnerable to lunges and counter attacks, and rarely uses fury attacks despite having unlimited rage. When he's near death, start using your rage attacks.

Classic Wolverine

  • He can use fury attacks more often, particularly berserker rages, making him a much tougher opponent. If he is berserking, stay away from him, or hurl him away with the lunge throw. Counter attacks are very effective; they do big damage and will disrupt his combo.

X-Force Wolverine

  • Like all the Danger Room Wolverines, he has unlimited rage. Unlike the other Wolverines, he's perfectly willing to abuse his fury moves and especially berserker mode. Bait him into lunging, then rip into him. You'll want to keep him lunging to avoid provoking him into using fury moves. Don't try lunging yourself or he will most likely punish you for it. Counter attack when he tries for a combo.
