There are four main characters in the game X-Blades for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Ayumi

Ayumi is the main character in the game and is the only character that is playable. Ayumi is a sassy heroine and fearless treasure hunter. She's known for using her gun blades to fight her way out of seemingly hopeless situations. After finding a map to the legendary Divine Artifacts, Ayumi sets off to capture them for her own. But after touching one, she's mysteriously transported to a strange island where she must learn to use magic in order to escape.Official Site: X-Blades
Jay

Jay is a treasure hunter like Ayumi, who's also been sent to the mysterious island. Jay rescues Ayumi and tries to help her rid herself of the curse. Though older than Ayumi, Jay is quite skillful in combat and has extremely powerful punches.Official Site: X-Blades
The Enlightened

The Enlightened is a powerful being who guards the Artifact of Darkness. As a Master of Magic, he uses extremely effective magic spells and avoids close combat, although his "hands" can cause real damage to an enemy. The only way to defeat him is to use black magic or fire magic.Official Site: X-Blades
The Dark One

The Dark One is the guardian of the island and the Artifact of Light. Resistant to spells, only a strong blow with a blade can break through his defenses and affect him in any way. No one has fought the Dark One and lived to tell the tale.Official Site: X-Blades
