"Only the Relive tour has unique objectives - the other two just have generic ones, such as Perform a Finisher or complete three strong grapple attacks. WWE Legends of WrestleMania gives players the chance to experience legendary WWE wrestling matches from the 80s and 90s. Relive the feuds and rivalries, the epic victories and devastating losses of more than 40 superstar wrestlers. Each wrestler's fighting style, taunts, grapple moves and signature entrances are realistically recreated. Historically accurate commentary, venue appearance and more are all faithfully reproduced.

In addition to playing as a legendary wrestler like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant, the game's Create-A-Legend mode lets players create their own celebrity wrestler of tomorrow. The main game mode in Legends of WrestleMania has three options: Relive, Rewrite and Redefine. Players can relive historic WrestleMania victories in the first option. Rewrite gives them the opportunity to play as the loser of the match and attempt to change history. Redefine gives players the chance to recreate the match entirely.

The game plays a little differently than the traditional SmackDown vs. Raw games. Besides simply winning, players are given different objectives during the match, such as "Perform a finisher" or "Perform three strong grapple attacks."
