• WWDC is Apple's annual Worldwide Developer's Conference. It is held annually at Moscone West in San Francisco, California in June. WWDC 2009 is being held from June 8 - 12, 2009 and rumors suggest that the iPhone 3.0 software will be made publicly available, and Snow Leopard will be demoed.     After the keynote led by Phil Schiller, attendees will be able to attend sessions which will be held privately under an NDA. This is the first year since 1998 that Steve Jobs will not be the main presenter of the keynote, because he has been away on medical leave http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2009/01/14advisory.html since January 14, 2009.

    Apple has made the session videos from the event available for purchase from the online Apple Store. The session videos have been divided into two products: Mac and iPhone.   • Announcements

    Apple made many announcements at their WWDC 2009 keynote, including the iPhone 3GS, discussion of Mac OS X Snow Leopard and iPhone 3.0, and a re-branding of the MacBooks.

    At the WWDC 2009 keynote, the iPhone 3GS was revealed. iPhone 3GS debuts in the US, and many other countries, on June 19th, 2009.

    Mac OS X Snow Leopard was also discussed in great detail, and a release month has been announced: September 2009.

    The unibody MacBooks are now part of the MacBook Pro line of products, and prices are dramatically lower on all Apple notebooks by several hundred dollars. The 13" MacBook Pro has also been upgraded to include a FireWire 800 port. All MacBook Pros, with the exception of the 17-inch models, now have a SD card slot instead of an ExpressCard slot, for convenience.

    Apple also announced that iPhone 3.0 will include voice control, among other features, and will be available for all iPhones and iPod touches on June 17th, 2009.
