Although Randy Savage had been retired since WrestleMania VII, Ric Flair's entrance to the WWE afterwards caused friction in Savage's marriage to Miss Elizabeth. Flair hinted she had an affair with him, which had Savage pleading with then-WWE President Jack Tunney to be reinstated to defend his wife's honor. Their feud made up one part of the double main event at WrestleMania VIII.
In the second half, a dominant Sid Justice, who turned on Hulk Hogan in previous weeks, challenged Hogan to what was billed as his "farewell match." To the surprise of 60,000 fans in the Hoosier Dome, the Ultimate Warrior returned to help Hogan at the end of the pay-per-view. Fast Facts:
