WrestleMania VI was the first WWE pay-per-view to take place outside the United States. Over 67,000 fans packed the Toronto SkyDome to witness the first tile-for-title, "face versus face" (good guy versus good guy) main event with Intercontinental Champion The Ultimate Warrior squaring off against the WWE Champion Hulk Hogan with their respective belts on the line. For most fans, it was a dream match come true, as both wrestlers were enormously popular at the time.
Other highlights included Roddy Piper wrestling Bad News Brown with half his body painted black, Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire facing Randy Savage and Sensational Sherri in the first WrestleMania mixed tag match, and the Hart Foundation defeating the Bolsheviks in a swift 19 seconds.
