  WrestleMania V was the second consecutive WrestleMania to take place at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City.WWE.com: WrestleMania V Venue Following WrestleMania IV, Hulk Hogan and then-WWE Champion Randy Savage became friends and formed a tag team, The Mega Powers. Their manager was Savage's longtime valet, Miss Elizabeth.

  As the year progressed, Savage became increasingly jealous of Hogan's popularity and supposed affinity for Elizabeth, resulting in a bitter feud that culminated in the main event of WrestleMania V.WWE.com: WrestleMania V Main Event

  The pay-per-view was also notable for a "Piper's Pit" interview segment between Roddy Piper and Morton Downey Jr. During the interview, Downey Jr. kept smoking cigarettes despite Piper's requests to put them out.
