Billed as the "World's Largest Toga Party," WrestleMania IX was the first WrestleMania held outdoors, taking place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The pay-per-view was also the first WrestleMania where the WWE Championship changed hands twice: the first when the 500-pound Yokozuna defeated champion Bret Hart after salt was thrown in Hart's eyes, and again when Hulk Hogan--who returned to the WWE after a yearlong absence--pinned the new champion after an impromptu challenge.
