WrestleMania 25 was the 25th WrestleMania event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. The event took place on April 5, 2009 at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. It was the second WrestleMania to be held in Houston.

• In a unique match, WWE heel Chris Jericho faces three WWE legends in a handicap match. The match pits Jericho against Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka and Ricky Steamboat with Ric Flair in the corner of the legends. The match was inspired by the Mickey Rourke film The Wrestler, which depicts the struggles of an aging sports entertainer. Jericho ridiculed the film and the legends who inspired the movie. The four legends were ruthlessly attacked by Jericho in the lead up to WrestleMania 25. A tradition of WrestleMania weekend includes the induction of WWE wrestling legends into the Hall of Fame. The 2009 class includes Stone Cold Steve Austin, Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, The Funk brothers: Terry and Dory Jr. Funk, Koko B.
