Guide note: WrestleMania 21 was the 21st annual WrestleMania event produced by the World Wrestling Entertainment. While this was the first WrestleMania to be held at Staples Center, it was the fifth held in the Southern California area (following WrestleMania 2, VII, XII, and 2000). The event set a Staples Center attendance record with 20, 193 fans. The two main events featured John Cena against JBL for the WWE Championship and then Batista taking on Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship belt. Other high profile matches on the undercard were The Undertaker versus Randy Orton and Kurt Angle versus Shawn Michaels. WrestleMania 21 also saw the first Money in the Bank ladder match.
