The new zones are fantastic, the music is beautiful and actually worth listening to, the quests are great, the dungeons are fun and engaging, and the storyline is a gigantic treat to people (like yours truly) who love the Warcraft lore. Blizzard has always been known for its extremely high standards, and the pride, effort, and commitment that went into WotLK is obvious from the very beginning.

This is more WoW, there's no getting around that. It's more of the same. But it's 'more of the sam' style, wit, quality, and polish that Blizzard is known for. The 'same' is better than ever, and Wrath of the Lich King makes World of Warcraft the best it's ever been. -John Funk, WarCryWarcry: Wrath of the Lich King Review

  • Expanding World of Warcraft

Wrath of the Lich King is the second expansion for the massively popular online game, World of Warcraft. In this expansion, players are being given the opportunity to explore an entire new continent, known as Northrend, which is the home of the Lich King, Arthas, and his army of the undead. In addition to the new story elements related to the new land and characters, the game's developers have added a number of features, including the addition of an entirely new character class, known as the Death Knight. This new class is tied directly to the plot of the Lich King, as these characters begin allied with the king, but later break away to fight against him. The Death Knight characters start at level 55, so players must have an existing character at the level before they'll be able to create a Death Knight character.

In addition to the Death Knights, the developers have also raised the experience cap in this expansion from 70 to 80, and are also introducing the World of Warcraft Achievement system. The achievement system is designed to help satisfy goal-oriented players and offers more than 700 different achievements, some of which offer in-game rewards. The expansion also includes new quests dungeons, items, recipes, character customization elements and a new profession.Official Site: World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King FAQ
