WoW Wrath of the Lich King Battlegrounds

- One zone, Wintergrasp, will be a completely PvP battleground
- The battleground will have destructible buildings and siege vehicles
- No safety from PvP while in the zone
- Other areas on the new continent will be PvE
- Other continents in WoW also have battleground zones

In Wrath of the Lich King, there is a new battleground on the new continent of Northrend that is strictly PvP (player versus player). There won't be places within this zone to protect players from PvP, so prepare for war.GamesRadar.com: ... Lich King's PvP Warfare (January 3, 2008)
Northrend

There are 10 zones in the new continent for World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. Only one of these zones is PvP, while the other ones have standard PvE-style play. There are no instances in the battleground of Wintergrasp, but there are siege vehicles and destructible buildings. The recommended level for Wintergrasp is 77 to 80, and players should probably be over level 70 if they want to explore the continent.WrathKing.com: Northrend Overview
In addition to the PvP in Wintergrasp, other zones on the continent will have instances, including 10-25 person raids. They will also have major chunks of the storyline, with one zone being the Citadel of the Lich King himself.
