World of Warcraft (also referred to as WoW), Blizzard Entertainment's fourth game introduced by Warcraft: Orcs & Humans in 1994, is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set within the world of Azeroth in the fantasy Warcraft universe. World of Warcraft takes place four years after the events at the conclusion of Blizzard's previous release, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. -
