Workers Stadium

The Workers' Stadium is one of the venues for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The stadium will host football matches for the summer games.

About

Construction of the Beijing Workers' Stadium was originally completed in 1959. It became Beijing's "National Stadium" and hosted numerous major sporting events. The stadium's land area covers 350,000 square meters. The stadium began renovations in 2006 in order to accommodate football at the 2008 Olympic games.
