The NCAA Women's Tournament determines the national championship in women's college basketball. The UConn Lady Huskies defeated the Louisville Cardinals 76-54 in the title game on April 7, 2009.
In the 2009 Women's Final Four, the Louisville Cardinals defeated the Oklahoma Sooners and the UConn Lady Huskies defeated the Stanford Lady Cardinals. All Final Four games were played at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
