Influences
Wolfmother's sound is a throwback in some ways to the late '60s and early '70s, particularly the early experiments with heavy metal of bands like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. The band often covers Zeppelin's "Communication Breakdown" when they play live, and performed the song with the band when Zeppelin was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006.According to Wolfmother's MySpace and interviews with members, other influences include Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Radiohead, The White Stripes, Daft Punk and AC/DC.
