Wolf Creek

Wolf Creek is a movie about three college friends who go to the Australian outback for vacation. Wolf Creek was released on December 25, 2005 and received low to medium ratings from the critics.

Liz, Kristy and Ben, during their vacation in Australia, go to Wolf Creek National Park to go hiking and see a mysterious meteor crater. Upon returning to the car after their hike they find it won't start and being in the wilderness, their only choice is to wait for rescue. As night falls, an Australian bushman named Mick comes along with a truck offering to tow them to safety. The college kids soon realize that Mick has no intentions of fixing the car or ever letting them leave the Outback again.

There is a line and this movie crosses it. I don't know where the line is, but it's way north of "Wolf Creek." There is a role for violence in film, but what the hell is the purpose of this sadistic celebration of pain and cruelty? The theaters are crowded right now with wonderful, thrilling, funny, warm-hearted, dramatic, artistic, inspiring, entertaining movies. If anyone you know says this is the one they want to see, my advice is: Don't know that person no more. — Roger Ebert
