Witness for the Prosecution is a crime drama written and directed by Billy Wilder. It was released on January 1, 1957. The movie is based on the Agatha Christie play of the same name. It stars Tyrone Power as Leonard Vole, a young man accused of killing an old widow. Charles Laughton stars as Vole's lawyer, Sir Wilfrid Robarts and Marlene Dietrich stars as Vole's wife, Christine.

Plot Synopsis
Witness for the Prosecution tells the story of Leonard Vole, a young man accused of killing and older widow. He hires Sir Wilfried Robarts as his defense attorney. Robarts is countring on the alibi of Vole's wife, Christine, but she informs Robarts that she really is not Vole's wife and plans on testifying for the prosecution. -
