The state of Wisconsin holds 10 electoral votes and has now voted for the democratic candidate for the past five elections. Wisconsin is one of the few states where voters can register and vote on the very same day. A person who would like to register should bring a state issued ID card (this includes a driver's license) to the polls, prepare to give the last four digits of their social security number and bring in a "proof of residence". This can be a bill or lease which demonstrates that they have lived at their current address more than ten days.Government Accountability Board: How to Register
