Career
After sending in an audition tape for a different movie, Winona Ryder was cast in the 1986 movie Lucas. In 1988, Ryder was given the female lead role in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Burton cast her again in 1990 when he directed the film Edward Scissorhands. In the 90s, Ryder scored roles in a string of successful movies including Reality Bites, Little Women, The Age of Innocence and The Crucible. Since the turn of the century, her notable films include A Scanner Darkly and Mr. Deeds. -
